Christopher Lozano

Christopher Lozano provides his perspective as a part of CIP cohort '81. Lozano describes his experience in CIP during the 80's and how he heard about the program. Lozano narrates both his personal and academic journey during his time at UOP. As a sociology major, he was immersed in his field completely and dedicated to his studies often. Lozano recalls no conflicts amongst the CIP program and UOP. He paints a close knit community within CIP, emphasizing the constant support he received from his professors and peers. Lozano also mentions that he received ample support from his partner and family, making his transition in CIP more bearable. Lozano mentions his involvement with UOP after his graduation, working as a career advisor and outreach for the school of business. Lozano expresses his appreciation for the CIP program and the opportunities it allowed him to have. Today, Lozano works in the government sector, working on prevention strategies and policies for CA natural disasters.
